Mark,
This is another example of the response we're getting from our web site. I know the content is important, but the video makes the difference.
Regards,
Bill Greenburg
Dr. Greenberg,
Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it. Searching for a qualified and reputable dentist in a new area can be quite challenging (I recently moved to Westampton).
Your website and the manner in which you and your colleagues convey yourselves made me feel at ease. I'll be in touch with your office staff to set up an initial exam.
Again, thank you.....
Chris
Argh. I just keep forgetting to report, because I keep waiting for something different...don't want to bore the group, but we get regular comments from patients saying the same thing. They already know us when we walk into the room. An attorney came in recently and said "That is SO COOL!" He had never seen a video like it, which was why he was rather impressed.

The other day, a new patient that came from the website was in the chair. I walked in and introduced myself. He smiled, and the FIRST thing he said was, "I've already met you on the website!"

"I should probably report patient comments more, but with all the new patients these bring in, I don't have time! Anyway, this morning, I walked in to see a new patient who was here to discuss cosmetics. Before I could introduce myself, he says "Don't bother introducing yourself, because I already know you!" He went on and on about the "virtual meeting" we had online, how much he was impressed with it all, how we had everything on the site he needed, etc..
Again, this stuff happens all the time, but no time to talk about it!"

The following was emailed to NPI by Dr. Marvin Berlin after we kept bugging him about telling us what his patients think about First Impression Video. You have to know Dr. Berlin, his practice, and how well he lives his life in order to truly get the humor in the quote that follows:
"Take out the trash.
Feed the cows.
Put your clothes in the hamper.
Post NP referrals from Videos.
Blah. Blah. Blah.
OK I get it...
Seriously, I bet we've had 50 or 60 directly say they saw our videos and felt like they know us and that's why they chose us.
Thanks Mark and Howie."
"Get ready ... you guys are in for a treat. We filmed ours in May and have had nothing but positive responses from patients. And lots of them!
It's very cool. Patients tell us that while they're searching, once they get to our web page, they stay. The video really draws them to you."
Dr. M. Berlin – McKinney, Tx
"Saw a new patient, a highly anxious patient (walked in the front door crying due to dental fear) who chose us based on our website video introductions, and especially the info about sedation. She said, "I could tell you guys wouldn't judge me because of my anxiety. I left a dental office because of that, and then went looking online for an office like yours."
BTW, my first question when I saw she was a Google/internet referral was, "So, how did you like the videos?" She replied, "That's why I am here." We did a NP exam, she left to get Halcion, then is returning this afternoon for treatment."

"Ok Cowboys, I had an internet NP in today and I asked her for an honest assessment. She said,
"I thought the video introductions were wonderful. When you walked in the room today and I saw you in person, I felt like I knew you already. It was very comforting to see you in advance."
She drove from Mesquite, that's a good half hour drive w/o traffic!
Boo yah!
P.S. She also said I'm even more handsome in person, which after seeing me on the video, she was surprised that there was even more beauty yet to come. (OK, I made the P.S. line up.) :-)"

"Well, it's only been a few weeks, and I can't put a dollar or new patient figure on the videos yet, but I CAN tell you that the only comments I ever get are positive ones. This was at the end of an email I received from a patient last night who I've been seeing for 22 years:"
"Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
BTW, I L-O-V-E your new homepage video message! How TOTALLY COOL, AWESOME, and MAGIC to see the tiny version of you on my laptop! NEAT-O!"
Dr. K. Smith – Irving, TX
"This was an email from Lisa at our front desk:"
"Marlene Drimm tomorrow at 7am bringing her husband who heard about you from someone else and was told to google sedation dentistry to find you.. LOVED the web site!"

"Had another new patient today who said "Are you the guy in the video?" I said yes, and started asking him questions, trying to get him to say something bad, and I couldn't! When I asked if he felt like he knew us a little better after seeing the videos, he said "Well, what I was thinking was that you guys were very intelligent and knew exactly what you were talking about." - just another slant from another patient..."

"OK, I didn't post the one I got yesterday, but if I don't post fairly soon after I get one, I might forget it! I had a hilarious one today. Walked in to see a new patient who immediately asked if I was the same guy in the video. I said yes, and that this was a new thing, and we were looking for feedback. "After you saw the videos, did it make you feel like you knew us already?" He said "You won't believe this, but you guys actually hopped out of the monitor and started dancing on my desk! It was incredible!"
I am really having a blast with these conversations. Patients really get a kick out of the videos that I would have never imagined."

"First, as most of us do, I hate myself in a video, and cringe every time I see one of them. However, I have learned that this is not about me and what I like, but about what will draw prospective patients to our front door. You would think after being with New Patients Inc. for a few years, this would have stuck with me, but I still have that internal war going on between my acquired knowledge of human nature and my egocentric dental brain.
I must relate 2 stories from Wednesday and Thursday that relate to the videos. First, I received this comment in a survey:
Everyone I interacted with was very personable and gave me the feeling that they enjoy what they do and are happy to be there. I appreciate that everyone took the time to explain what they were doing and happily answered my questions. Dr. Smith did an excellent job explaining options available for dental care that I needed. The website made 21st Century Dental seem very inviting and friendly and that was exactly what I found from the moment I stepped into the office.
Now don't get me wrong. We get many new patients from our web site, and TNT has far surpassed anything I could have expected from a website company. However, I honestly don't remember ever hearing that our web site was "inviting and friendly". Those words made me realize that this is *exactly* what I want the web site to portray. What better words could be used in describing what is needed to have someone call for an appointment? I think this patient nailed it.
Next, I had a new patient emergency come in on Thursday who googled "emergency dentist". When I walked into the room, she grinned big (even though she was in pain) and said "So YOU'RE the actor!" We talked about the videos for about 5 minutes and were both having a good time. She thanked me for laughing with her, as she completely forgot the pain. I had gained her trust before she ever came to the office, and the conversation flowed like we had known each other for years. I have NEVER had that type of experience with a new patient in pain. Oh, and among her comments about the videos: "You guys certainly got MY attention!""
